Вестерло - Владивосток

My trusty Ural Ranger (aka Gear-Up) will be the one doing all the hard work while I drive it from Westerlo, Belgium to Vladivostok, Russia. My progress can be followed via this blog. If posting stops ... well, I'm either back home or some bear had me for lunch. Pictures -> http://s38.photobucket.com/albums/e137/dommel5/Vladivostok/

27 - 07- 2006

Well, I am in Irkutsk right now. Updating the internet. I will leave for Ulan-Ude after this. But I will not reach the city before tomorrow. I am travelling alone again. Doug has some problems with his clutch and wants to spend some time around Irkutsk and Lake Baikal. I keep going because I have to get to Vladivostok in time. It is no race, but I just want to keep moving. Doug will take the train anyway from Chita to Khabarovsk. This stretch of road is not paved yet. It will be a real test for me and my Ural, but I want to do it. Once in Vladivastok I will attend the bike show. After that I want to see Nadia as soon as possible. Probably I will take the train. We will see about this later.

Anyway, I am still alive and well. My Ural is doing great. The wheather is not so nice today, but that will not spoil the fun.

Bye for now.
